CrownFox Habitat
CrownFox Habitat sits 12 miles east of downtown Austin. Most of the land is given over to wildlife: feed, water, mowed paths and big sections we let go feral.
The rest we built by hand. Two cabins, a bar, a stage, a pool, a mess hall, an emporium, a dozen beehives and a hotel for one goat.
The newest thing we've built. A long covered hall with a farm table under the chandeliers, a grill station and a bar rail, looking out over the trees. It's where everybody ends up.
Everything here was built on the property, most of it from salvage. Tap any one for the full set of photos.
Workshops, markets, music, full-moon nights and the New Year's Day plunge. Sarah keeps the calendar.
A few of the posters from the last few years.
The Emporium was built as a showcase for Sarah King's jewelry: handmade rings, medallions, amulets, necklaces and earrings.
There are tinctures made from native plants, pecans from our trees, and honey, beeswax balms and candles from our hives. Kombucha, hard kombucha and kombucha wine are all brewed and bottled here.
It's also a tarot reading room. Sarah has been reading tarot and working in gemology for over 15 years, and her readings pair a crystal, mineral or gemstone to you.
Frank spent a year and a half living feral across the road before he moved in. He lives in the Goatel, a one-third-scale western hotel built just for him.
He's also the star of the Feral Frank books, songs and videos.
